Welcome to Beyond the Ridge LLC. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Beyond the Ridge LLC website, online store, services, and related content (collectively, the “Site”).

Throughout these Terms, “Beyond the Ridge,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Beyond the Ridge LLC. “You” and “your” refer to any visitor, customer, or other person who accesses or uses our Site.

By accessing our Site, placing an order, or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Site or purchase our products.

1. About Beyond the Ridge

Beyond the Ridge LLC creates and sells handmade pet gear and accessories, including BioThane collars, leashes, harnesses, and other products, as well as belts and accessories for people. We offer both ready-to-ship and custom-made products.

Because many of our products are handmade, slight variations in measurements, appearance, hardware placement, color, or other characteristics may occur. These variations are a normal part of handmade products and are not necessarily considered defects.

2. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to accurately display and describe our products, including their colors, dimensions, materials, and features. However, colors and appearance may vary depending on your device, screen settings, lighting, materials, and manufacturing variations.

Product photographs are provided for reference and may not perfectly represent the appearance of the product you receive.

We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or update products, materials, colors, hardware, pricing, and availability at any time.

3. Custom Orders

Custom products are made according to the selections and information provided by the customer.

You are responsible for providing accurate measurements, sizing information, colors, hardware selections, personalization details, and other requested information when placing a custom order.

Please carefully review all selections and measurements before submitting your order. Beyond the Ridge LLC is not responsible for incorrect sizing or customization resulting from inaccurate information supplied by the customer.

Once production of a custom order has begun, changes or cancellations may not be possible.

Because custom and personalized products are made specifically for the customer, they may be final sale except where the product arrives defective, damaged, or materially different from the confirmed order, or where otherwise required by applicable law.

4. Pet Product Safety and Proper Use

Our pet products are intended to be used responsibly and only for their intended purpose.

Customers are responsible for selecting an appropriate product and size for their animal and for determining whether a product is appropriate for their pet's size, strength, temperament, activity, and individual needs.

Before each use, you should inspect collars, leashes, harnesses, hardware, fasteners, stitching, rivets, and other components for signs of damage, excessive wear, loosening, or deterioration.

Do not use a product that appears damaged, excessively worn, altered, or otherwise unsafe.

Pets should be appropriately supervised while using our products. Products should not be used as chew toys or left with an animal if doing so could create a risk of chewing, entanglement, ingestion, or injury.

No collar, leash, harness, restraint, or other pet product can be guaranteed against all breakage, escape, injury, or misuse. You are responsible for using our products appropriately and safely.

5. Sizing and Fit

Sizing information provided by Beyond the Ridge is intended to help customers select an appropriate product. Because animals vary in shape, size, coat, and proportions, sizing recommendations cannot guarantee a particular fit.

Customers are responsible for measuring their pets according to the measurement instructions provided and selecting the appropriate size.

If you are uncertain about sizing, we encourage you to contact us before ordering.

6. Orders and Payment

By placing an order, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method submitted.

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, pricing or listing errors, unavailable materials, inability to complete a custom request, or other circumstances that prevent us from fulfilling the order.

If we cancel an order after payment has been processed, we will provide any refund required for the cancelled portion of the order.

7. Pricing

Prices are displayed in the currency identified on our Site and may change without notice.

Applicable taxes, shipping costs, duties, or other charges may be added where appropriate and will generally be displayed during checkout when they can be calculated.

In the event of an obvious pricing or listing error, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and issue an appropriate refund.

8. Processing and Shipping

Processing times are estimates and may vary depending on order volume, customization, material availability, holidays, and other circumstances.

Ready-to-ship products and custom-made products may have different processing times.

Shipping and delivery estimates provided by Beyond the Ridge or a shipping carrier are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

Once an order has been transferred to a shipping carrier, delivery may be affected by circumstances outside our control.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

9. Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

Returns, exchanges, cancellations, and refunds are governed by our current Return and Refund Policy, if provided separately on our Site.

Unless otherwise stated in that policy, custom or personalized products generally cannot be returned or exchanged due to customer preference, incorrect customer-provided measurements, or incorrect customization selections.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to eliminate any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived or restricted.

10. Product Care

Customers are responsible for following any cleaning, care, storage, and maintenance instructions supplied with a product or published on our Site.

Improper cleaning, exposure to inappropriate chemicals or conditions, chewing, modification, misuse, excessive wear, or failure to properly maintain a product may shorten its lifespan or make it unsafe for continued use.

11. Handmade Products and Normal Wear

Our products are designed with durability and adventure in mind, but no pet product is indestructible.

Normal wear and tear can occur over time, particularly with products regularly exposed to water, dirt, mud, pulling, outdoor conditions, chewing, abrasion, or other demanding activities.

Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, pet-related damage, misuse, improper care, and unauthorized modification are not considered manufacturing defects unless otherwise required by law.

12. Website Use

You agree not to use our Site:

- For unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
- To interfere with the operation or security of the Site;
- To attempt unauthorized access to our systems or accounts;
- To distribute malicious software or harmful code;
- To copy, reproduce, scrape, or exploit Site content for unauthorized commercial purposes; or

14. Customer Content

If you submit photographs, reviews, testimonials, comments, or other content to Beyond the Ridge, you represent that you have the right to provide that content.

We will not use customer-submitted photographs or other content for advertising or promotional purposes without any permission required by applicable law or our stated policies.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

Our Site may use or link to third-party services, including payment processors, shipping carriers, social media platforms, or other websites.

Beyond the Ridge LLC does not control third-party websites or services and is not responsible for their independent content, policies, availability, or practices.

Your use of third-party services may also be governed by the terms and policies of those providers.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our Site and products are provided subject to any warranties expressly offered by Beyond the Ridge LLC and any warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.

Except for those rights, we do not make additional warranties or guarantees regarding uninterrupted Site availability or that a product will be suitable for every pet, person, activity, or circumstance.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Beyond the Ridge LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from the misuse of our products or use of our Site.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

Customers remain responsible for selecting, fitting, inspecting, maintaining, and appropriately using products purchased from Beyond the Ridge.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Beyond the Ridge LLC from claims, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of our Site, your violation of these Terms, or your misuse or unauthorized modification of our products.
